The next step in your trip is to create your platform and create online visibility. Learn your expertise, hone the skills and put everything that you have learned in writing. For instance, if your book is going to be on dieting, create a blog on weight loss and this will be the area of your expertise.

When you feel comfortable with writing content for your blog, begin writing articles and downloading them into ezines. You should make sure that they stick to the area of your expertise. Maybe you will not get payment for them, but they will establish an internet exposure for you. If you write informative and interesting articles, it will drive more traffic to your website.

The marketing and publishing business has changed. In modern writing market publishing establishments, small and big, you should:

3. Get a following
4. Have the potential to expand the following
5. Acquire a marketing strategy
6. Be able to market the book

Selling books these days is a challenging task nowadays. If you dabble into the self-publishing area, promoting yourself is even more important. Do not be stuck into procrastination.
